    Dave, I need you to come to the Malta, NY superchargers. Take NY thruway into Albany, and continue north or I-87. Let me know what you think about FSD around the exit 6 bridge as you go northbound. Then try driving on the bridge from east to west. And then for a real thrill... return back onto I-87N by heading over the bridge in a west to east fashion. I've been told that the entire fleet has this issue....you'll see. Check out the videos that I posted on my channel. Worse than Chuck Cook's left turn.

    I don't know if this has been mentioned, but when I drive my Model Y Performance, I love the one pedal driving. When I used FSD Supervised, it used the physical brakes ALOT to help the car stop. My fear is if you use FSD all the time, it will wear out your brake pads long before it would when I am using one pedal driving.

Also you can press accelerator to speed up and it will hold that new speed. Sometimes it will back off and do it again. Like you I wish it had a slowdown trick. Great show.

    I've been on trial with FSD and have 12.3.6. FSD is an amazing combination of hardware and software engineering. However, FSD still isn't the FSD that Musk was selling in 2020. "Getting close" doesn't count. FSD seems to make overly aggressive lane changes for no apparent reason as I have FSD set up as docile as possible. FSD has cut off too many cars while changing lanes at 65-70 MPH for me to personally feel comfortable with FSD's "decision-making process". I think what I'm perceiving to be lane change issues, is more of a camera/data input issue rather than an FSD issue, but that's a significant problem. I think FSD has blind spots, and the issues I'm seeing with lane changes can be easily explained by the lack of data input. and that IMO, is a Tesla Vision issue, more than an FSD/AI issue. The bottom line is regardless of how good FSD is or is not, Tesla is still collecting data at my expense. Tesla isn't paying for any algorithm or AI misadventures. If bad decisions are made, at this point, I want to be the cause and not AI.

    • @lucadellasciucca967
      @lucadellasciucca967 13 часов назад

    Its a bad idea to allow data to 3rd parties as they send it to insurance companies & your rates will increase. GM has OnStar & they are sharing your vehicle info to insurance companies. Many owners are now disconnecting & pulling the module out of the vehicle. If you not subscribe to OnStar insurance companies can still get the info so best to remove it.

    There have been so many Tesla crashes with all that extras. Many rental apartments & condos do not even have chargers. I seen many accidents where they run charger cord to their apartment dryer outlet for the 240 volt & seen kids tripped over the cord & got hurt. South Carolina (Myrtle Beach & Hilton Head Island areas) & Tennessee (Great Smoky Mountains region) do not have many chargers as the infrastructure is poor in these areas.

      @@lucadellasciucca967 In the US, but in Europe FSD causes more accidents as human drivers. It is just that American drivers are causing over 4 times as much accidents as European drivers (km/miles driven on 100k population). And if you compare American drivers with European driver with equal amount as driving experience (km/miles driven in their life) it is almost 10 worse in the US. And if you zoom in even more there are really crazy numbers although hard to compare, Amsterdam had 7 "traffic" deaths, 2 elderly people that tripped walking, 5 elderly people fell with bike (all with paddle support). HOW is FSD going to fix that? none of those people was hit by a car. A city like Helsinki has now a few years without any traffic related casualties at all.

    v12.3.6 is much better yet! In San Antonio it has poor lane choosing meaning if the navagation is to take a right in like 4 blocks sometimes it gets into the left lane and not move over to the right lane as soon as normal people would. Gives you a big chance of not being able to in time. Also some lanes that you need to be in to go straight it will choose the turn lane sometimes. However it is oveall a game changer. v12.4 and v12.5 are supposed to be even more "next level". Remember Tesla knows what is 6 months down the road. Will be interesting to see what August 8th will reveal.

    I did an FSD drive last month during the free trial where I had to exit a 4-lane road onto a 2-way service road. After exiting, the service road had a 4-way intersection but a 3-way stop with me having the right-of-way, and I had a left had turn on the service road, meaning an 180 degree turn from my highway direction. My Model Y hesitated at the 4-way 3-stop sign service road intersection, and I just thought it was having trouble. I nearly goosed it to go, but then I saw a woman pushing a baby carriage crossing the service road to the left. In other words, FSD saw the woman with baby carriage before me, and was stopping. Excellent!.

      Based on vids I've seen, that's a common thing. A famous example was, not even FSD but I think AP, big intersection multiple lanes all directions, light turns green Tesla start to go normally then inexplicably abruptly breaks from just 5 or 10mph, the driver is like: "WTF?"--then the car to his right which kept going got T-boned by a car running the light at maybe 50mph. Serious life threatening accident avoided.

    Dave, I do think we need to start informing customers that it is really (enhanced cruise control, and assistance) we can refer to as (E.C.C.A.) that’s why I do believe that the consumers will not get a false sense of security. Instead of calling it (F.S.D.); why don’t they just call it enhanced cruise control basically what it is, cruise control is depressing that people are calling it full self-driving, which never should be mentioned when driving a vehicle because it gives people a false sense of security, it should be called enhanced cruise control, assistance that’s exactly what it is you are giving the consumer a false sense of security, which is lying to the customer like Elon Musk that he wants people to have a false sense of security with their vehicle’s. Now, should Elon Musk be charged with false advertising I don’t think so, but at the same token, he is truly giving the nation a false sense of security with their vehicle’s. Now I think it’s great, but I should think about the true way of presenting his enhanced cruise control, assistance designs, and exactly what it’s doing. Sincerely! R.S.V.

    I subscribed to FSD for my 2024 MYRWD based on your reviews. We have already paid for the Tesla hardware so the monthly subscription is minimal and can be cancelled. I think if we view it as an assistant driver FSD is well worth the money from a safety standpoint. I was at a red light yesterday and when the light turned green a pedestrian ran in front of my car and FSD handled it perfectly. Thanks for your great reviews.

    At 19:30, that "howdy doodie time" you were experiencing with the braking was because you were going through an intersection with a flashing yellow light. It saw a yellow light then started to brake, and it took it a couple of seconds to realize it was flahing yellow to know it was ok to keep going.
